    5 Sessions at the 340B Coalition Winter Conference We Can't Wait to See

    We’re excited to once again attend and exhibit at the 340B Coalition Winter Conference, Feb. 16-24. It’s the perfect time to brush up on all things 340B, as well as connect with different vendors you may have been considering in your quest to improve your 340B pharmacy program. 

    While we miss seeing our clients and colleagues in person, we know the week will be filled with insightful discussions on all things 340B, including COVID-19 changes, compliance, manufacturer updates, advocacy and research. Though the virtual format is different, it is convenient: sessions will be spread over five half days, and there’s no need to book travel or take time off work, especially during such a busy time for health centers. 

    Here are a few sessions we look forward to attending - feel free to use these as a starting point for building your own conference schedule:

    340B Update from Office of Pharmacy Affairs: Rear Admiral Krista Pedley

    When: Wednesday, Feb. 17, 12:30 p.m.

    Who: Rear Admiral Krista Pedley, Director, Office of Pharmacy Affairs

    Rear Admiral Krista Pedley of HRSA’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs will provide an update on the agency’s priorities for 2021 and beyond, as well as the agency’s continued oversight efforts and initiatives. 

    Update on Manufacturer Actions Regarding Contract Pharmacy

    When: Thursday, Feb. 18, 3 p.m.

    Who: Christopher Crosswhite, Senior Vice President of Legal and Policy, 340B Health; Jason Reddish, Partner, Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP; Maureen Testoni, President and CEO, 340B Health. 

    Attendees will get an update on recent actions taken by pharmaceutical companies that have dramatically reduced the 340B benefit that health centers receive. Last year, bipartisan legislators and attorneys general have signaled their support for 340B on several occasions. 

    Navigating HRSA Audits and Taking Corrective Action

    When: Thursday, Feb. 18, 5 p.m.

    Who: Matthew Atkins, Manager, Draffin Tucker, LLP; Ashley Harlow, 340B Pharmacy Manager, Community Health Network; Steven Miller, Vice President Pharmacy Services, 340B Health; William von Oehsen, Principal, Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville PC.

    340B Hospitals Bridging Community: Health Equity Best Practice

    When: Tuesday, Feb. 23, 5 p.m.

    Who: Kinneil Coltman, Atrium Health; Rukiya Curvey Johnson, Director of Community Health and Engagement, Rush University System for Health; Laurie Ouding, Food Matters, LLC.

    This moderated panel will discuss best practices in health equity gleaned from the 340B Health Equity Report, and the important role of 340B hospitals investing in health equity.

    Legislative Update: What a New Congress and Administration Means for 340B

    When: Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2 p.m.

    Learn how the Biden administration and Democrat-controlled Congress could change 340B legislation.
